Located five minutes drive from Margaret River, planting of vines began in 1992 and now 60+ acres are under vine. Edwards Boutique Wine Producer processes 100tonne of fruit from their own estate and made approximately 4,400 cases of wine half white and red. The plan is to increase by the year 2006 to 7,000 cases. Edwards Wines currently produce Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Wines
SAUVIGNON BLANC: Lifted gooseberry, white peach and floral notes overlay hints of citrus rind, dried pears, green bean. Crisp, clean and tight varietal fruit characters and hints of creamy nuttiness from the barrel-fermented portion give weight and exceptional length to the palate. The steely acidity provides backbone and structure.

CHARDONNAY: Lifted white peach, honeydew melon and dried pear overlay hints of creamy nuttiness from the lees contact. Tight but concentrated nectarine and citrus fruits complement the more textural characters of the malolactic fermentation and lees contact. The perfect balance of these components and the zesty acidity provide length and persistence to the wine.

SHIRAZ : Lifted blueberry, blackberry fruits and white pepper notes overlay savory hints of licorice, spice and tobacco leaf. Refined and elegant yet rich, sweet red and dark berry fruits follow through to the palate with the silky lingering tannins giving length and finish to the wine.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON: Mild and dry, extended ripening period. Lifted sweet red berries. Earthy, black berry notes overlay hints of mint and mocha.Ripe, sweet and delicate cassis fruit dominates the front palate with red currant, raspberry and fine ground tannins providing an elegant and lingering finish.
