Ordering Details
1. Local deliveries - to your door within 5 business days.
2. Out of Metro areas - wine is packed in special shipping containers and sent by courier. Shipping costs are from $6.95 a case depending on location. This process should take between 5 to 7 business days.
3. Out of Ontario – Unfortunately this is not permitted by the LCBO as an Ontario address is required for delivery.
4. Case lots - Unless otherwise specified, all wines are in case lots of twelve bottles and at this time the LCBO forbids cases to be split or mixed in any way. Prices are inclusive of all LCBO charges, Agent’s Handling Fee; exclusive of GST. Prices are subject to change without notice.
5. Private Orders - You may place a private order for any wines we do not have in stock. The minimum order is 1 case of either 6 or 12 bottles depending on available winery packaging. A deposit of $40 is required to place this order and it will take 6-15 weeks to arrive depending on Country of origin. Payment in full is required prior to the delivery of the wine. Should you cancel your order after it has been placed with the winery, your deposit will not be refunded. Cancellation is required in writing.
6. Consignment Wines - is a program implemented by the LCBO for licensed agents such as Abcon Wines, to import wine from wineries worldwide and sell to Restaurants and consumers in Ontario. The agent must indicate to the LCBO the name of the purchaser of each case of wine sold through consignment.
7. Licensee - We encourage Licensees to order on our website – please email or call for our current Licensee Price List and be sure to include your licensee number on the order form.
8. Payment – we accept Visa or Mastercard debited at time of shipping the wine to you. Cheques are accepted to be cleared prior to shipping.
9. Returns - Corked wine or shipment damages, you may return the bottle and we will refund the cost of the product plus postage you paid to send it back.
10. Privacy Policy - we do not make financial transactions online therefore there are no web based security concerns. Your email address is optional but we’d like to have it so we can send regular updates and wine news to you. We collect only as much as much information as is needed to complete your order. This will be your name, address, telephone numbers (LCBO requirement for placing orders) and financial information such as a Visa card.
Once you have decided what you intend to order, print an order form and then add your personal and financial data before faxing the order to our office. Don't forget to sign it in both areas requiring your signature. As required by law we will inform the LCBO of your purchase. Under no circumstances will your name be sold or given to any other agency, business or individual. Alternatively, you can use our online order form to place your order now.
